though i read this one more recently than the others, i can barely remember it. there's a lot of sitting around in the hospital waiting for people to get out and do stuff. i read it because i had read the other two, and i have this thing about seeing things through, but this one is less of the same: the plot unfolds in a haphazard fashion, and there are too many side turns that lead nowhere. added to that we have the figuerola character, who annoyed the crap out of me.
i hear the movies are excellent, and i'm sure they are: once you cut all the crap there are some interesting plot lines in the three books, and certainly i respect his righteous anger regarding violence against women.
