Ubik - Philip K. Dick, David Alabort, Manuel Espin another wonderful novel by philip k. dick: this one examines the nature of reality and the tenuous link between us and the worlds around us. they are some very funny moments, and some very freaky ones. if i were to draw a plan on the novel it might look like a tornado where the characters rotate around on little rings, each ring representing a different reality, full-life half-life, life in 1992, life in 1939 but none of them really a reality i know, but one birthed from dick's brain: where walt disney's face is on coins and things are never quite right.

wonderful characters: i particularly enjoyed runciter, and al and the silly moratorium keeper whose name has slipped my mind.
